More about photos - are there guidelines anywhere?

Contributor: Silverdrop Silverdrop
I know I keep going on about photos lately, but I saw some in a review recently that were - somewhat explicit. I reported the review to JR, but the photos remain on the product page. Personally, I'm not bothered by nudity, but I know that many shoppers would find it uncomfortable or offensive. If lingerie models have their nipples airbrushed out, I would assume that Eden does not want contributors dangly bits on display.

I looked through the review guidelines and the forum guidelines and I couldn't find anything about photos. I would assume that since videos with nudity are given a warning that photos with nudity would as well, but I can't find anywhere that Eden has ever set out any sort of rules for what photos are permitted.

Are there guidelines anywhere? If not, shouldn't there be?

I was under the impression that nudity was not acceptable for review photos.

Did JR get your PM? He's a busy guy and things can slip through the cracks. I once had to report a really explicit image and I felt kind of bad about it, but reporting it, as it kind of hit you in the face and many people don't want that kind of stuff unless they are cruising porn, or knowingly click on an "Adult Content" Eden video. (Even in those, genitals should not be shown.)

I'm hard to shock and this photo hit me like a ton of bricks. It was eliminated.

Actually looking back, I reported it to Gary instead of JR. I'm assuming he got it, as the pics were removed from the review, but unless they're removed from Eden as well, they still show on the product page. I'm still amazed that an unmoderated photo upload thing like Eden has doesn't get more inappropriate images. This is the first I've seen.

Last paragraph in the "Consequences" section of the EoC, right above the section for the 24-hour rule:

"We also reserve the right to replace a graphic (nudity) or copyrighted image/avatar with a default image. If you have any questions if an avatar is appropriate or not, ask an Admin."

Your message was received and it has been handled.

Oh, I didn't realize it was removed from the review, but not the product page. Gary may not have realized it was still there, because many reviewers still use off site image hosting sites.

I wonder what all images fit in that guidelines because I have seen some avatars that are questionable.

If you see them, tell us! A quick message and a link to their profile is all we need. Also, please give us time to look into these things before you send new messages or start new threads. Thank you.

You are too funny! I mean I have seen penis avatars. I thought that was against the rules, but never said anything.

I've seen avatars with penises and nipples (female) is that allowed?

I have also ran across two products that had photos uploaded to it that showed a penis (real) but never said anything because I figured if they weren't allowed, they wouldn't have been there. I forget what they were, cock rings or some type of penis contraption, lol.
