Based on conversations with the spouse, we're looking for an anal toy/plug that moves a bit. I was thinking similar to the common rabbit vibrator with the beads. Or something that "swirls" or "gyrates" somewhat.

I've done searching here and other sites but haven't had much success.

We have several possibilities to suggest.

The Booty Throb has "Wings" that gyrate in and out and the entire toy vibrates.
