Can an anal toy really become "lost" inside the body?

Contributor: asphyxia asphyxia
Please be careful! It absolutely can and does happen all the time! The term "lost" definitely isn't accurate, because the object will come back out, it's just that sometimes the person needs surgical intervention first.

Believe it can happen. Resting at an angle that causes it not move or get wedged would have that affect. Though something that is just pulled in should eventually come out.

I have a feeling this can really happen.

I think "lost" is a strange way to put it, and that particular wording always throws me off a bit. Irretrievable or stuck seem like better ways to phrase those painful and unfortunate situations...

it IS possible, but i think that one shouldnt worry about using toys built for the express purpose of anal plumbing. double ended dildos are far too long and thick to become "lost"

i know from experience that a toy can only go so far analy and because of this im disinclined to believe that it wouldnt eventually pass because a toy deep inside of you is VERY noticeable and those tubes are built for the purpose of evacuating dildo shaped...matter.

notice that most "lost" things are ordinary objects that had NO business being there in the first place (i.e. coke bottles and hair spray and lightbulbs)

be smart and use dildo shaped toys for depth play, or smallish balls(1.5"-2") and you should have no trouble, just remember to go slow and dont force anything in, otherwise it wont get out without medical intervention.

be safe, be sane.

I had a menstrual cup stuck inside my vagina once. I knew it wasn't going anywhere or going to do any damage, and the only pain came from my increasingly frantic attempts to remove it. Still, I wanted it out and I wanted it out now. Just the idea of something being in your body past its allowable tenancy is deeply unsettling. It being in the rectum or colon, when there is much more potential for damage and pain would just make it that much more frightening. I can see why people would go to A&E over it, rather than wait. I was close to going to A&E over my much less serious problem.

My mother works as a nurse and she was telling me about how some guy was using some kind of can of stuff for anal and he lost control of it and it just went up in him and it was too big for him to get out himself. He went to the ER and had to be worked on to get it out.

I think "lost" might give the wrong implication; how about "stuck."

It's really just that it's difficult to get back out again once it's inside. I think a lot of the people who go to the ER or doctor for something stuck inside them are probably cases of panic and if they just relaxed they're probably be able to either expel it or remove it themselves. But obviously if it couldn't be removed a doctor would be necessary. Not a visit to a medical professional I would relish.

If it's rounded on both ends and you can feel it with a finger don't worry. If it's pointed or sharp go straight to a doctor. If you can't feel it with your finger and it's rounded give it a little time (12 hours or so), if it still doesn't come out talk to a doctor.

Yep. Most ERs have an "Ass Box." I know an ER doc who has a shadow box on display in his small office (as ER doctors don't have Private Practice patients, they have fairly small offices) with interesting things he and other HCPs pulled out of people's rectums.

Sometimes people want the stuff back....

It happens. Buy toys with a really good flared base.

I could definitely see how a toy could get twisted around and hung up in a fold or a bend and not want to come out. I personally like anal too much to have it spoiled by the embarrassment of an e-room visit.

hmmmmmm...maybe happens, but commonly? i work in the OR of a good sized city hospital and I've only heard one story from the ER in 2 1/2 years?

I've heard many, many stories about it happening... I'll never forget how horrified I was the first time I put a bullet in there and thought I wasn't going to get it out. At the time I didn't know that was a bad idea--definitely not ever going to risk that again!
