It's a pretty commonly repeated fact that you should only ever use an anal toy with a flared base, to make sure it doesn't get "lost" inside the body, but if you look on the Internet, you can quite easily find many videos of people inserting objects entirely into themselves - anything from golf balls to double-ended dildos - and subsequently expelling them with little difficulty.
While it does seem like a wise precaution to use something with a flared base, especially for the inexperienced, I'm questioning whether anything can truly become "lost" in the body. Surely what goes in must eventually come out, especially considering that area of the body evolved specifically to excrete things. I can only imagine something getting truly wedged in there, and requiring a trip to the emergency room, if it had very pointy corners or such.
Any thoughts?
