Well, yes, everyone is different. Some people enjoy anal play, and some do not, and unfortunately there's just no way of knowing if you'll like it until you give it a try.

Just start playing around using your fingers (and lots of lube) and see how it feels. If it seems like something you can get into, you can go ahead and try some anal toys.

I agree that you should get yourself a glove and some nice silicone lube and explore with your fingers first.

But after that, consider investing in a silicone dildo that's on the smaller side (like the Silk small or medium from Tantus). If you don't like it, you can sterilize it and just use it vaginally, and you never know, it may come in handy later with a partner who does enjoy anal.

Keep in mind, though, that silicone lubes and silicone toys may not play nice together. Always do a patch test before trying a silicone lube on a silicone toy, or stick to water-based lubes.

But I definitely agree with the recommendations on the Silk Small and Medium. The Small in particular is great for anal if you're really nervous about size.

Once you've done some finger play ask yourself if you want a toy that thrusts or a toy that stays in place - that will steer you towards either a dildo/probe or a plug.

Do get something in silicone. Silicone doesn't leach chemicals and it's a breeze to clean up (and sanitize if you want to do that). Glass or stainless are also good from a safety standpoint, but they're stiff so they feel bigger and it's easier to hurt yourself with them - go with something soft first (silicone).

I asked myself the same question 6yrs ago, now I have quite a collection. I simply fell in love with the feeling of playing with my ass. You can get so many different sensations and feelings, especially if you get a butt plug inserted and go public! will keep your excitement pumpin and nobody will know what you up to!
