As long as you're being safe, I can't see why not. Make sure there's plenty of lubricant and if it starts to hurt at all, stop.

The only thing I would add to that is to go slow at first. When getting into anal baby steps are recommended. Get comfortable with yourself(or your partner) and work your way up.

A few things:

Yes, do warm up first and make sure there is plenty of lube. Secondly, use a soft toy. During hard thrusting it's easy to work a stiff toy in such a way as to cause discomfort, and if the toy is metal or glass and has some weight behind it you can possibly even injure yourself - so keep these toys for slow play until you really know what you're doing.
