Looking for a prostate massager and a pumper

Contributor: Blakiepoo Blakiepoo 12/14/2010

Hi,

I've done a bit of bum-play and I'm planning on getting a couple of new toys. The only toy I have now is a vibrating plug, but when I bought it, I didn't realize how the bumpy texture would be so uncomfortable to insert. I don't have a problem with width when it's stationary, but I can't take pumping because of the friction. I'm not likely to use something that will hurt at all.

So I'm looking for a dildo that is really smooth and can pump in and out with minimal friction. I'm not sure why so many anal toys have 'beads', since that just seems painful. I've got a couple of glass dildos, and a couple of silicones (all pretty thin and long) in my wish list.
Silicone = more comfortable. vs Glass = smoother, can use silicone lube.

I've also been looking at Aneros & Nexus clones. I'm a little afraid of getting a Nexus and being disappointed with "you get what you pay for" hindsight.

Does anyone have experience with these that can make my decision easier? Thanks if so!

I'd say start with silicone, especially if you're planning on doing partner play. Glass doesn't bend and you can poke yourself.

One toy that you might want to consider is the Tantus G-Force wand. It's smooth, the head has a nice bend, and the handle is easy to grab for either solo or partner play.

Glass is nice if you have some experience or you plan on going real slow till you get the feel for it but it can hurt your insides so that is the main concern with glass. The other thing I would point out is texture on glass is way more noticeable due to the hardness. So if you do not care for texture look for something smooth.

Silicone is soft and it is harder to hurt yourself with. You will not get as much pressure where you want it but they still work good. One of my favorites it the Tantus Acute. You might look for something with a high gloss finish but it will require more lube. A matte finish seems to hold the lube better. You can always use a condom on the Silicone for use with Silicone lube.

I was eyeing that one, and it is on sale today, but I'm concerned it would flop around too much. And it could be hard to aim it to the right spot.

I'm so ambivalent with these types of toys and spending so much time weighting options.

Is there any difference? The rollerball on Nexus could just be an alteration to allow for their own patents. Nexus is cheaper, especially right now.

For Nexus, probably the Glide or possible Neo.
Aneros Helix. I think I would break the curled handle off it for comfort.

Nexus and Aneros are both good toys. I prefer the "ball" type perineum massager that the Progasm and Nexus toys have because I find it less irritating. The "Aneros" style toys do have a learning curve with them, and the sensation is a bit more subtle than other massager options.

Some of the other Nexus toys (Silo, Gyro and the new Stilo) are fun and stimulating as well.
