I have loved the shape of this semi bowling pin looking plug but cannot decide between the two available materials. I see no point in owning both. I'm not sure how many of you have tried both, but your opinions and testimonials of either would be great.

thats a toughie, just went with steel cuz I haven't ever tried a steel toy. So im curious..

To help you decide, have you ever used a steel toy? how would you compare it to glass. They both work for temp. play. and are both safe materials

I am in love with stainless steel at the moment but I have had a long love affair with glass...must be my poly nature again. I try to keep things equal and fair but you know how it is when you have a love triangle....seriously though I plan to buy the steel one before I get the glass one just because. Yup I have no better reason than that! I simply want the steel one more than the glass but it's a close race.

For this particular toy i would go glass but i have never had a steel toy and really love the ones with the cute little stone jewellery in the base.

Stainless for me. No matter what you do to it, it will be repairable. Like Goth said if you drop glass it could break, were as stainless, IF you happen to damage it it could be sanded and/or polished and still be usable. I believe that the stainless hold temps better also.

Well, I was actually going to vote for the glass plug (especially the pink one since I think it is just so beautiful in that transparent color), but they are not in stock. The stainless steel is pretty, too. Plus, it's available. So I voted for that one.

But it would be nice to have a high quality glass plug. Stainless steel is available in other gorgeous plugs (such as the Njoy Pure and Pfun plugs). I think a quality glass plug is a little bit more rare. I'd personally LOVE to have a Crystal Delights plug. They are glass with a Swarovski crystal on the base. They look much more luxe to me than the stainless steel plugs that are adorned with a crystal. But all that is just an aside since they are not on the poll! Just musing and wishing aloud to myself . . .

They would feel almost exactly the same. As noted, steel would be a bit more resistant to shock, and you could always rig something up to magnetically vibrate it if you were electrically inclined (almost said mechanically, but that wouldn't make any sense). If you're into electroplay the steel one could be used as an electrode as well.

It is possible to bend or break steel, whether it bends or breaks depends on the specific alloy and how it was treated. If it is bendable then the steel plug offers more customization options, since you can bend it (possibly cold, or else use a torch to heat it) without having to worry about heat treating (almost all glass needs heat treatment after you work with it hot)

I like both. I voted stainless because I have it's gorgeous, you can't break it and I don't have any stainless plugs. You can also use it to put on your lipstick. I'm sure you'll love either one.

After further testing of steel vs glass, the steel one would be better for temperature play and would probably be slightly slicker during use. Steel would also be heavier so you would get more movement as you moved.

Haha, I'd been undecided about that product as well, and I've always had a preference for the stainless one. It's just that I rarely have time to take out the plugs that I already have and I don't see the point of getting a new one right one. But when I do, I'll get the stainless one too.

I was incredibly surprised at how much I could feel the small differences between glass and steel. They are small, though, so glass is very similar (and cheaper) - especially if you don't do temperature play.

Looove the shope and hope there's a jelly, rubber or silicone version. Personally I would shy away from glass as putting glass inside of an orafice is just scary. The weight of the steel would be expected to feel real nice.
