Sure why not? We have a few silicone toys that I use on the wife that I also use anally. As long as you are going from vaginal to anal use or clean it properly before going the other way around there is no worries.

Absolutely not! I don't do anal play at all, but if I did, I would never use a toy in there and then in my vagina. There's a reason for the whole "wipe front to back" saying and that certainly would apply to sex as well. It's way too much germ spread, even if you keep really clean. Just think of how dangerous it is to wipe back to front, that's only on the OUTSIDE of the anal area too. INSIDE the booty and then the vagina.... a big no no!

I believe the implication is that you'd boil the toy before switching. Anal bacteria aren't going to survive that.
