We use water based, have had bad reactions to the oil based. Make sure you check what works for your toy if you choose to use them.

Normally use Slippery Stuff Gel. Just got some Wicked Aqua from EdenF with last order. It's not as thick, actually running. However it works well. Watch for review on it soon. If it works on the almighty 2.0. that tells you a lot !

We use coconut oil for everything. The stuff is unbelievable!

It doesn't dryout (like water-based)
It melts at body temperature - so it's a solid when we scoop it out of the jar
It's supper slippery and smooth - like silicone without the nasty side effects
It's food - so shoving some up your ass isn't a problem
When you're all done - your skin is smooth, soft and moisturized

All that - and it's dirt cheap! We use to pay $25 for a few ounces of lube. I get 4 lbs of coconut oil for $23 - no need to worry - apply the stuff liberally!

Since my wife and i are new at anal play which is her mostly using a plug or slim vibe on me we use a water base lube. We have tried once with a strap on but didnt succeed but hopefully still more to come on that experiment

If you are using toys it depends on what it is made of, but with the real deal water based is always the best

On PVC/rubber toys I go with silicone lube (Pur brand is pretty good)
With silicone toys, I use water-based lubes. Have used a LOT of different brands but my favorite would have to be Swiss Navy. Not to mention that they also sell 32oz jars of their stuff for a reasonable price...
For long-term usage of a toy or if I'm in a pinch, I'll occasionally use Vaseline (I know, I know... not supposed to be used as a lube! But it works quite well, like for instance, whenever I wear a butt plug overnight)

I use a water based lubricant with Lidocaine in it. Its called Clean Stream Relax Anal Lubricant. It is a desensitizing lubricant. So far its the best one i have used. You dont have to worry about it drying out. It stays wet and its very smooth and feels amazing. I used to use Anal Eaze, but with that it still hurt and i was always left sore but with Clean Stream i dont feel uncomfortable at all!

I dont recommend coconut oil for anal unless you are a pro but for vaginal it is an amazing lube!

I'm not sure what the 'pro' reference refers to. We use coconut oil for vaginal and anal. We do have to reapply occasionally - but it's way better than any water-based product we've tried and IMO much healthier than silicone. Since we exclusively use silicone toys - we had to get rid of all of our silicone lubes.

My absolute favorite lube is cum lube from Bad Dragon. I never thought I'd be able to use a lube that looks and feels just like the real thing. But now that I've been using it I find nothing works better for me. It took a few times to learn how to use it without making a big dripping mess, but once you figure it out it's quite fun to use.

With BD cum lube we use a lube shooter . Draw up the amount needed, twist it around and around to avoid ant waste and mess. That also lubes the tip for safe comfortable insertion into the anus.

The toys that use the tubes from BD seem cool but, possibly a bit too much work for me right now, let alone the cost. Lol. But there's always the future, thanks for the help.
