I'd really like to try anal, but I want something easy to try with first... so basically I want to know what's a good beginning anal toy?

Which of these toys is best for a first anal toy?

All I've ever had up there was a finger once years ago, I feel I'm ready to try again. What would you suggest?

I would rule out the glass items for a beginner. Stick to softer materials such as silicone until you are more comfortable with anal.

I would suggest the NJoy Pure plugs, med and try wearing it around for awhile.

I agree with kindred in that softer materials are best for beginners, so I would get a silicone toy. The bootie and lil end look like the best options for you.

I would have to say butt hungry! I think it looks the thinest, and the lest scary.

As others have mentioned, I would not suggest glass for a first time anal toy because it is very firm. The Bootie is a good size and material for a beginner toy.

The bases of the L'amour and the Hopper look a little too small with too short of a stem area in between; they make me paranoid. The Bootie has the most ergonomic shape to me... I love mine.
Oh, and the Ass-berries and Butt Hungry don't look like they'd stay in very well if you want to wear them as plugs. The Ass-berries also gives me the same paranoia about slipping in as the L'amour and the Hopper.

I went with the Tantus Ryder, but during the course of my long search process for just the right first toy, I heard great great things about the Bootie.

the bootie. it's very cute and non intimidating. i really am growing to love mine

I own the Lil End and while it is a good size for beginners, it does NOT stay in. That being said, the Bootie is a similar size (if not a tad smaller) and I've only heard good things about it.

Ass-berries Raspberry, I have had my eye on this one.

Bootie! Excellent for beginners!

Totally agreed with Liz2. The Njoy Pure Plug medium link might be the only anal toy you'll ever need.

The Bootie looks very much like the right size and features.

Icicles No. 13 looks like fun

My STRONG suggestion is not listed here. It is the KEY TO YOUR BUTT sold on EF.

A sharpie for me

hmmm I am now interested in the bootie...

I found glass great! My first was with the Luxotiq anal plug (Blue) or (pink). The Bootie may have too large of head to allow your sphincters mussels to relax.

The Lil' End or Butt Hungry seem small enough and safe enough for a beginner to use.

Now personally I'm a huge advocate of glass for a beginner because that's what we started with. Something very narrow with a nice big base and not too much texture. I DO NOT, however, recommend the Icicles No. 13 for a beginner! It may not look like it, but that bulb is huge, and even as a knowledgeable player I can barely get it in without pain.

The Bootie looks like a good choice, but personally I'm saving up for one of the Pure Plugs.

The lil end doesnt stay in, and hmmmn, like i think using some fingers (with latex gloves on) will give you the same effect but the bootie looks small and good for a beginner.

I think the Bootie is a great choice.

I skipped toys all together until I was comfortable with taking 2-3 fingers. My first anal toys were the Joe Rock and anal t black. I just didn't want to buy something small then want something bigger soon after.

the bootie one.
02/16/2012
I'd go with a slimmer one

Bootie is awesome for beginners! It's one of my favorites for starting with or for long term use.
02/18/2012
The bootie looks nice

bootie

Bootie, it's so cute too

Take note: the Sasha Grey plugs all run one size larger. In generality to other toy sizes. Example: the SG small plug is closer to a medium size standard plug.

For your first, I'd aim cheap, honestly. L'amour looks good for it's price.
Although, if price doesn't matter, Bootie DOES look nice.

Elements Pi seems really good, though pricey.

So glad I read this thread.

The Bootie or one of the newer Mood silicone plugs.

Lil End and Butt Hungry look like good beginners. I wrote a review on on that would be perfect for beginners. It is by Doc Johnson and called the Slim Jr. Butt Plug. It is firm with a little give, has a good base, and is nice and slim.
09/21/2012
L'amour
09/21/2012
kind of a funny name, but i've heard good things about the butt hungry
09/22/2012
little end for me.
09/22/2012
Small, soft, flexible silicone with a secure base would be the sensible choice. I'm not sorry I started with glass, though, it had good results.
09/22/2012
The little end I think.
