Will it ever get comfortable? Buttplug, that is

Contributor: Bill220 Bill220
I just bought a Doc Johnson Classic Butt Plug (large) and tried it out for the first time today. I must say that the picture makes the plug look a lot smaller than it is.

Anyway, I worked it in and I'm sitting here at my desk with it in right now. This is the first time I've attempted to wear one for any length of time other than when masturbating. When I first got it in, my mind was screaming, “take that thing out now!”, LOL but I kept it in and feels pretty good. A bit uncomfortable if I move around a lot but good.

My question is, will my body get used to this to the point where I can wear it with no discomfort? Don't misunderstand, I don't have any pain, just a little discomfort. I've had lots of dildos, vibrators and other things up there but nothing quite this wide.

Thanks in advance everyone.

When I first started wearing them I Thought that too. But now I love wearing them for extended wear. I just suggest good lube and finding one with a really soft base.

Thank you Lydia. The plug I have is really soft on the outside and somewhat firm on the inside and it does have a nice, soft base. I'm using Astroglide for lube. Any recommendations on something better?

I think this plug is a bit too large for me but I'll get used to it.

Sometimes the design of a plug makes a huge difference for long term wear, you can try something with a better shape like the Njoy Pure plug large or the 2.0.

Usually if it's just a bit too large you'll get used to it, though if you're too close to your limit you'll need to use the plug often for it to stay comfortable. Sometimes, however, it is the plug's design, and when that happens it may never be comfortable. I've only had this happen when there are abrupt ridges or other poking bits.

Rossie - The shape of the Doc Johnson Plug is nicely tapered and smooth. It's pretty wide at it's widest point and it does taper abruptly near the base. If I could afford those two plugs you suggested I'd give 'em a try. Thanks for the suggestions.

ScottA - You're right. I'm going to use it often to see if I can get used to it. As mentioned above, the plug is nice and smooth with no ridges or ripples. I'm not one for textures, bumps etc. I prefer smooth. I bought a Tantus Cisco dildo and the ridges on it make it very uncomfortable to use. It's the perfect width but those ridges make it unusable to me. Thanks Scott.

ive had a similar situation. i have a similar toy that was about 1.25in in diameter and the first time i used it the thing hurt like no tomorrow! but like most things, youll just have to go through the adjustmet period and depending on your use could be a few weeks to months. i know after enough use im ready to move up with mine. good luck

I used it today for two hours and it felt great the entire time. It'll be going back in tomorrow.

I have it in again today and it didn't take long at all to get it in there.

I had a really good time with it yesterday. I figured since everything was nice and stretched out, might as well try a few other items.
