Yes we share dildos - and use them vaginally and anally - just never during the same session. We disinfect using isopropyl alcohol.

For anything we're going to insert into our bodies, we stick with safe, easy to clean materials (glass and silicone are our favorites) and we ALWAYS clean them thoroughly after use. We don't use our anal toys vaginally, but that's because my wife doesn't like ANY toys inserted into her, not because of the cleanliness issue.

I voted "no" but I have used glass toys both anally and vaginally. I just make sure to clean them REALLY well with plenty of soap. I wouldn't want to use any other material though, even silicone. Don't ask why it just weirds me out.

Mrs did once...after a thorough cleaning...she's not a fan of sharing though...so got her own...probably wouldn't again.

Nothing bad happened...just...well ...didn't like sharing...

If you clean the toy well (and it's made out of non-porous material) there shouldn't be any issues using it for both orifices.

No, even after sterilizing. I have separate anal and vaginal toys. I know that it would be safe, but I'm paranoid. Plus I find silicone toys can retain a bit of a smell if used anally (even after being cleaned multiple times), so I would find it especially off putting to use my silicone anal toys vaginally.

Sure! I love the idea of versatility. It's not a bad consideration to take if you really want to get the most out of a toy. Literally double duty! And yes, with the proper care taken, of course.
