Suggestions for a first dildo?

Contributor: Mr Weasel Mr Weasel
My wife and I have had an interest in toys to spice things up a bit. We've tried vibrators for her and they just don't seem to do it. We have more of an au naturel preference - we like the intimacy and exploration of different ways to give her orgasms, but the mechanical aspect of the vibrator doesn't seem to work for us. She doesn't like the feel of it - the vibrations extending to other parts of her.

I thought a dildo might provide some fun and not take away from the intimacy.

I'm looking for some suggestions on a first time dildo for her. However, after having four kids, I'm not sure size is such an issue. I don't know if I should get a dildo close to how I am or not - I'm really average size if anything.

What is a good starting point? We've liked the looks of some of the wood models, but they are too expensive. I'm looking at silicone and glass. I have the Comet and the O2 Cush in my wish list. G Spot stimulation is important. Realism without being an actual mold of someone's penis is important too. Both of these items seem to fit the bill.

Any thoughts on these? Does the Comet have a suction base that works? Any other suggestions? What about glass - temperature play sounds fun - any suggestions there? I see Icicles advertised on the site. Are they any good?

I was thinking of getting one silicone and one glass for starters.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks in advance.

my first glass dildo was the bubble thriller, and it is still my favorite by far. I just recently got the echo which is silicone with a bullet that you can put in it, I love it almost as much as the bubble thriller
