The ridging might be too much for a first time glass user... Best to go with something that has a smooth surface.

I agree with (k)InkyIvy, best go with something smooth. Glass is a hard material and very unforgiving but once you get used to it it's no problem

I'd stay away from a textured dildos until you get used to the rigidness of glass. It can be quite a difference from other, softer dildos. My first glass dildo was the Amethyst and it was great!

I say get the love wand.

Classic because like others have said, it has a smooth texture. That price is a bit high though. There are other smooth glass pieces available that are just as nice and better priced.

Classic, best to ease into it with a smooth texture, but that's just my opinion!

Classic, but maybe something cheaper but the same style. Unless you have your eyes set on that specific toy, of course!

The smooth one looks nice.

It really depends on the type of vibrators and dildos you have already used. The sizes and textures that your body already expects. If you have used some average sized, hard plastic, bumpy vibes and liked them, I would go for the multi-textured love wand, but if you are new to those type of textures and size, go for the smooth classic one. The swirls look fun, but that I would wait on. So, I voted for the classic only because if you are a "beginner, beginner," then that is the way to go.

Gold multi-textured love wand is the one I chose because I am getting into textures. For a newbie I would suggest something simple like the classic but don't blow all your money (or points) on a glass dildo if your not even sure if your going to like glass. Again this is just my opinion.

I think the classic would be a good pick.

The Classic would be the best option out of these for a glass beginner since it's not overly textured. To find out what kind of texture you like after trying out your first glass piece look for something with nubs on one end and swirling/ribs on the other end.

If you are looking for a more affordable piece that looks like the Classic, check out the Swell Wand, Wave Wand, or the Icicles No.8.

I'd choose something smooth for the first time. Maybe something with a slight curve, though.

I would pic the Swirled G because it has a curve.

definitely go for something smooth first since you don't know whether or not you will like texture.

Probably the classic, of those two... Definitely go for something with LESS texture first.

Smooth glass is a good place to start. Not only does one's relationship with texture vary with individual tastes, it also varies with specific mood. It would be a shame to be turned off to glass entirely by an unpleasant experience with texture. If you do buy something with texture at some point, keep in mind that while you might not like it at all, you need to try it more than once, because what hurts one day might feel fantastic a week or two later, or vice versa. There are days when I can't even stand the thought of something textured, and there are days when that's what I crave most, and I know I'm not alone with that experience.

Definitely the Classic... but it is a little expensive. There's also the Sasha Grey Signature Swell Wand, which is similar and cheaper. And also the newly added Reflections Amber, which is basically a golden colored and slightly cheaper version of the Swell Wand.
