I totally fall in this category. I just recently started buying dildos. I had maybe four up until recently and they hardly ever got used. When the colorful O2 line came out I was drawn to the pretty colors and had been wanting to try the realistic material but didn't like the realistic tones they normally came in. I fell in love with my Flurry. After that I got the Raquel on recommendation from an Eden friend and was just head over heels for that. Since Raquel I've been buying dildos left and right. I've also been buying them for my husband since we started pegging and I always try them out first.

I would say that while vibrators are my first love, dildos now hold a special place in my heart. I've found so many great shapes in dildos that work well for me that I haven't found in vibrators. I've had especially good luck with G spot dildos where so many G spot vibrators have failed in the past. There's also some more interesting materials like wood and steel and glass that I've come to really enjoy. There's also the more realistic materials that are oh so good.

I won't ever stop buying vibrators but I'm happy to have a whole new set of toys open to me that I didn't before. Just goes to show it's always good to try new things even if they didn't work in the past!

I was definitely like this. I think this was partially due to the fact that for quite some time I had regular penetrative sex but not a great deal of foreplay. With my ex-wife though we used dildos on a regular basis and vibrators less - it seemed to be the nature of us being in a lesbian relationship. I love vibrators, and think they can be so much fun in many ways, but dildos absolutely grew on me. There's something steamy about fucking yourself with one, and even with a man, being fucked with one is a bit kinky. The Ella was the first dildo that really convinced me that they were worth giving a fair shot to.

I used to wonder what the point of a dildo was. My thinking was: if vibes existed, surely there was no reason for dildos, right?

But they seemed pretty popular, and I got curious, so I ordered my first dildo (the teeny-tiny Silk Small) with my first order from Eden. It was nice, but nothing spectacular. The Ella boosted my confidence with size, and the Silk Medium was the first dildo I really enjoyed without any complaints. Then the Bent Graduate rocked my world, and it's just kind of gone from there. My favorite toy right now (which I simply can't stop gushing about) is the VixSkin Tex.

I've found that internal vibrations, while nice, simply aren't something I go crazy over. A toy's shape, the feel of the material, and the sensations of thrusting, rocking or grinding are much more important. Motorized parts can alter the way a toy feels or moves, hindering some of these aspects. It's also nice to know that for some of my toys, I'll never have to worry about batteries or charging, waterproofing, loose parts, or anything like that. Most of my dildos should last a lifetime if I take care of them, while even the best vibes will wear out eventually.

Oh oh yeppp, I was always wondering about a realistic feeling dildo, mostly because of the material!

Silicone dildos flood the market and they are cheap enough too to get one only to take a try first, and I really wonder if the feeling is so amazing that I wouldn't need any vibrations at all!

(I've been flirting with the Vamp for a while, though the fact that only the name relates to vamps pretty much doesn't count at all, I love pale skin though, and I always wonder when I should get one... And Icicles No. 24 as my first glass dildo, unless I will get No. 21 first... ^^)

I definitely started off as a vibe only type of gal. It started because the first dildo I ever had used on me was far too large and was very cheap. I then broke up with that lousy girlfriend, and was with someone who taught me more about what types felt better and how to use it right and now I cannot do without!

I was a vibe-only gal mostly because I just flat out prefer clit stim. Now that I have a nice selection of vibes that I'm happy with and I've found a few companies that make high-quality insertables that *don't* freak me out (I'm extremely off-put by realistic toys and bored to tears by plain ones) - I've been slowly expanding my collection.

I originally only wanted vibrators, but now I prefer dildos with a separate vibrator.
It's easier to buy all different kinds of insertable dildos than insertable vibrators.
