Trying to figure out what the right realistic dildo for me is

Contributor: removedacnt removedacnt
I want something realistic to ride when hubby is not in the mood. First I'm not sure if I should go with silicone or that newer realistic feeling silicone. Do the regular silicone dildos not feel real? Are they firm but giving enough?

Also my guesstimate of hubbies size is about 7 inches long, though 6 would do, and he had alot of girth. Probably about 1 3/4 to 2 inches diameter. I do want something that will feel filling similar to when I'm with my hubby. I really don't care for the thinner type shafts.

I have read alot of reviews but I'm still a bit baffled. I'm looking for something for thrusting alone not for strap on use. I'm not sure if most of those can be used for both since I am new to this type of toy.

One in particular that I have put on my wishlist but I'm still not sure about is "Johnny". But any suggestions and help would be great!!!

Flanged dildos can be used held in the hand just fine, they aren't harness-only by any stretch of the imagination. The only possible problem is if handheld dildo use is combined with oral sex - sometimes the flange gets in the way of the tongue. Doesn't sound like that's going to be an issue here, though.

I don't have any real-feel silicone (VixSkin, O2) yet, but I've heard they're really nice. Comparing a silicone dildo with my penis, the silicone doesn't have the slightly squishy surface and stiffer inside that a penis has, and I've heard that O2/VixSkin do a good job of imitating that.

The Johnny sounds like a good choice. My partner never gets tired of the g-spot stimulation he provides. Since the Vixskin dildos are 10% off right now, it might be a good time to give that a shot. The Lone Star is similar in size to the Johnny and is only about $13 more right now for the amazing feel of Vixskin. It looks like you are definitely on the right track.

I have a partner with a Goodfella by Vixen. While it is not the size you are looking for, I can attest that it does feel very real. It has the "slightly squishy surface and stiffer inside" that Scott describes. I agree with Jimbo that a Vixen product may be a good choice if you want something realistic.

I also have the O2 Niagara. It is similar to the Goodfella in that it has a softer outside with a firmer core, but it is slimmer than what you want. The texture of it is VERY nice though, so you may want to look at the O2 Revolution.

The difference in the 2 I mentioned and the other silicone dildos I have is that the others are indeed quite stiff (hehe) and they aren't as realistic feeling.

I have used silicone toys of different firmness and none of them have felt real.

Have you tried the VixSkin and O2?

That is, aside from the Vixskin. "Normal" silicone, I guess?
