Two versions of the Midnight Twist?

I'm a little confused as to what this toy actually is. The two video reviews seem to show similar, but different toys, where one has those raised white spirals, including the bumps, while the other has those spirals "under" the surface, and is a lighter color. The first type also looks much darker, while the latter is lighter looking and has those nibs in a different color - red.
Furthermore, the pictures of the toy at the top of the page look like the the former version, while the pictures under the product details look like the latter.
Does anyone have any idea why this is?

SSA Glass tends to have... versions of their toys. They change relatively regularly, unfortunately. It's difficult to update the product photos consistently.

My suggestion is to look at the most recent reviews and see if there are photos to see what you're probably going to get, especially with SSA Glass.

Thank you for the explanation and suggestion! That does explain it, atthough I wish that they'd at least label them as different versions of the same toy. I'll definitely check the text reviews for photos.

Yeaaahhhhh. The one in the first promotion photo is not what you get when you buy the Midnight. I was confused too. I'm okay with the differences, but it seems minimal enough.

The differences wouldn't be too much of a problem because I'd probably still enjoy the toy on its own, it's just that someone offsite mentioned having one, and described it as more textured than the current one seems to be, something that disappoints my inner texture enthusiast.

I bought this sometime this past year, and the one I got had the reddish raised bumps that went about halfway down one side and white swirls of color inside the glass (not raised above the surface).

But I don't know if they have changed the product since then or if they stock both.

I agree. Just look up current, to date information as much as you can, before deciding if you want this toy.
