Do wood dildos have splinters?

Contributor: xcapricax xcapricax
I've never seen a wooden dildo in person. I have a friend who has one and says she got a splinter in her from it. I don't know how truthful that is they look really smooth to me. Anyone else able to make this claim?

it has been my experience that they don't. some have a salad bowl finish and the nobessence ones have even a higher quality sealant. it maybe that her's was damaged in some way and this is why , maybe it was a lower end one that did not have a good finish or no finish at all. I have the brands that Eden carries and they are all top notch quality. no way you could get splinter from them. but if they are damaged, if the finish is not on, or maybe deeply scratched i just can't see a person getting splinters.

A correctly made wooden dildo won't give you splinters. It's not a two by four or a branch out of someone's yard, it's finished even more meticulously than high quality furniture.

I'm going with the group here. Now if here hubby made one out of wood and then just tossed it to her, I can certainly see it being a problem.

If you buy one that is manufactured by a company that specialized in wood, I don't think there will be a problem.

My question is why didn't she examine it before use? I check all of my toys before inserting them in any hole!
