Would the Ella work well for a beginner?

I'm thinking of getting my bestfriend this for Christmas but she is new to toys. Would this be a good toy to give a newbie? I have not tried it myself so I'm not sure how easy it is to master.

I have the similarly shaped Gigi and found nothing but frustration when trying to thrust with it.

I think Ella is a perfect beginner dildo (it was my first, and I love it!) The two ends great - I use one for warming up, and one for amazing G-spot stimulation. Either side is easy to grip for thrusting, and it works like a charm! It's a very high quality toy, and the design is great. I wrote a lot about it in my review (click here) and added some pictures, too.

I haven't got one but I imagine it would be a great choice for a first. I wish you were my friend! lol

Ella is excellent for beginners. Many women have had their first squirting successes with it. It's popular for good reason.

From the shape, I'd guess that the Gigi isn't meant for thrusting. G-spot toys with this shape are often meant to be used in a rocking motion instead. The Ella's nice because it has both a thrusting and G-spotting end, so you get the best of both worlds.

Ella's a great toy for a beginner. Gotta love dual-ended toys. I'd always say to use a lot of lube with it, since it has quite a bit of drag (if I hadn't been so stubborn about using more lube, I'd have used my Ella a lot more when I first got it, hahaha!). Otherwise, it's a pretty simple toy to master.

I would say as a dildo, yes. However, I found vibrators to be an easier segway into sex toys in general. I wasn't entirely comfortable with masturbation when I started, so vibrators were nice because it was quicker and less awkward. I came to like dildos later on.

I have not tried this one but I too have the GiGi and found it now suitable for good thrusting motions.

Most definitely. As an advanced player, it didn't seem "oomphy" enough for me but I like a lot of intensity. The box alone makes it a GREAT gift.

In my opinion, Ella would be a great choice for a beginner.

I think the Ella is certainly a luxurious introduction, however it isn't for everyone. My experience with the Ella was a major let down. What about giving your friend a gift certificate?

I would only suggest Ella as a beginner toy if the user is used to intense G-Spot stimulation. Ella is my first toy and I've been having a hard time getting used to her- not because of her size, but because of the intensity of her curves. The "pointy" end is just a wee bit too pointy for hard thrusting, and the "blunt" end can be a little intimidating. It all boils down to personal taste- I definitely suggest Lelo brand, though, as their silicone material is VERY luxurious. Hope this helps out! :]

It was the first dildo I bought. I love mine, but it isn't like straight dildos that you can thrust (I think it's better with a rocking motion or twisting it side to side a bit against my g-spot). So it's not the kind of toy I think you can just grab and go with. I think it's still worth it though, and the price is pretty low for a luxury toy.
