I found a great gift idea for special occasions. My girlfriend dropped hints about what she wanted for her birthday (yesterday) and one idea was a Squishable.

I would definitely recommend these over flowers, which cost about the same.

Ah, Cute!

I myself have a thing for Jellycat stuffed animals. I have two. A pig and a sheep. They be awesome.

I think nice and/or novelty stuffed animals work for some girls because unlike flowers, they don't die in a week. And they're just generally more fun to have and hold and remember things with. You can't look at a bouquet a year later and think of how sweet this or that was. And fact of the matter is, we (some, anyway) just like cute cushy things. It's a fact that can't be avoided.

Oh wow, they have a raven! I collect them & they're not always easy to find. I'm not into having a billion stuffed animals, but I might just have to get that one for the theme. And they look like good wee pillows.
