Ok this is a topic that may get different views. but here goes, A couple I know got their 18 yr old son an XXX movie for Christmas, do you think that is the type of gift to give your child? or should that be left for them to decide what kind they want or if they want any at all. What are your thoughts?

I feel like it would be really uncomfortable to get a gift like that from your parents, but maybe that's just me.

I'd feel weird giving something like that to my kid. So no I would not.

Haha.

I probably wouldn't give it as a gift only because I'd worry I don't know what they're into, especially if it's a porn with a particular focus.

I wouldn't feel bad giving porn, though, if I knew what someone was into

Personally I don't like/approve of porn so I wouldn't ever give it to my children. I would also find that awkward to receive that from my family.

While I commend them for having an open view of sex and a good relationship with their son, I think it would be a little strange. If they were interested in giving something like that I think a gift card to a sex shop would have been more appropriate.
