I do try to consider the environmental impacts of whatever I buy, sex products included. So if I happen to be buying a sex toy around Earth Day, I'll get the greenest toy possible that meets my needs/desires - just as I would at any time of year.

But as others have said, to buy something you don't need, just to show off your "green" cred, would be completely counterproductive.

That doesn't make sense to be. Embodied energy is involved in making every single toy, even the green ones. So if you want to celebrate environment don't buy anything at all.
