I'm assuming no guys have done this, but for the ladies: who has worn pasties to the beach instead of a bikini top?

What kind of reactions did you get from others? Was it a clothing optional or nude beach?

I've never done it, and I wouldn't do it on a normal beach, but I'd consider doing it on a nude beach. I've never been to a nude beach, but I feel like it would make me more comfortable to be at least a bit covered.

I've never heard of anyone wearing them on a beach, at least in the US.
