I would not think it would tear easily if you hand washed this item and stored it in maybe a ziplock bag so it doesn't get caught on anything

Surprisingly, the fishnet and fencenet does not tear easily at all, neither do body stockings. You'd think they'd be a one time use, but mine have all lasted for long times. I've had a few for over a year with no signs of trouble. It's actually very durable as long as you handle with decent care. More wear of course will cause it to wear down quicker, but for the price that this material usually is, it's absolutely worth it!
