One or two cute little ones are fine, but I've seen some with many small decorative bows and then two big big ones. Crazy!

I like bows, so I don't mind the larger ones. What's nice about a lot of the Coquette pieces is that the larger bows are detachable.

Like Sktb0007 Coquette has it where the bigger bows can be removed an replaced. They have a safety pin attached to them

I personally think that one bow is enough especially if it's a large bow and any more than that is excessive. But like sktb0007 mentioned, the bows can be detachable. I got a chemise by Coquette and it had three large bows, one at the top and two at the bottom so I took off the two at the bottom and it looks better now.
