How to size lingerie for a girl with a tummy?

I know a lot of these products are stretchy but would you give a large (the girl's usual shirt size) to a girl with a decent-sized tummy or go for the XL and hope it doesn't offend her? Sexiness sometimes depends on your confidence level and I know if something clung to her stomach, she would not feel confident.. but I don't know if sizing to an XL would make the breast proportions awkward? Any advice??

Also, it's meant to be a surprise that I'm getting her any lingerie/clothing at all so I don't want to ask her!

Lingerie is iffy as there are size charts for each company depending on the size. You would probably be better off getting her measurements. I am not sure how close you are to this person though. Also I will toss in I wear Large and XL shirts but have to get lingerie varying in sizes from XL-3x/4x depending on the company and piece

Look at her tags. Try to find out what size she wears. Then for lingerie you usually need to order a size up.

A lot of the lingerie on Eden runs a little small. It seems like there are only a few that run true to size. If you can't get her exact measurements, I would go for a OS/XL, it seems to be kind of a happy medium.

you are probably better off getting her mesurements; each manufacturer sizes slightly differently, and I have lingerie from M-XXL size. Yes, not joking.

As all sizes are really manufacturers made-up labels and don't really "mean" anything, anything you choose is your best guess. Another question to ask yourself is does she seem to prefer to wear her clothes snug or loose? And in selecting lingerie what is your goal? Do you want her to pose for pictures? Wear it during sex? Put it on to surprise you at a later date as a "green light" for sex tonight?

Go for comfort and accessibility if you intend to wear during sex. There are plenty of baby doll style lingerie that "tie" at the breasts and leave the belly free and open.

I agree with the previous "everything runs small" post. I don't love having the XL label in my lingerie, but it always fits better than my regular large.

I just had this issue myself with a piece of lingerie and had to send it back. My usual size is Large but it did not fit me. So I sent it back and got something else in a XL because I know the company it came thru is small and I did not want to take that chance again.

I would definetely go with an XL and make sure that the material has Spandex in it. Alot of the clothing products on here with give you the rundown of the type of material that it is made with. If you are shopping in stores you will get be able to see this information too in the tag
