I know there is currently another topic similar to this, but this is somewhat different!

If you find a piece that looks amazing on a model, are you more influenced to want that piece?

Yes, because my first impression ends up being that the piece looks like that on everyone. After studying it more and picturing myself in it, my opinion begins to change.

I am always a little disppointed when I get a piece home and try it on myself...

No I prefer to look for the reviews of Plus Sized ladies who have posted their pictures of them in it. If there are no REAL life pictures of the Plus Sized items I just go out on a limb and get it an if it looks good on me then so be it if not pass it on.

I am influenced, but I'm more influenced by real people having pictures of themselves in the piece.

No, because I'm not nearly as thin, or tall as most of the women that model the stuff here. Even reviews with pictures don't help me because nobody is shaped like me. So I can either go off on a limb and be pissed that I spent money on something that looks terrible on me, or I can just do what I always do when it comes to clothing: buy it in a local store because I can thoroughly examine the garment in person with my own eyes.

Yes--even though I know better. I do try to wait for a review on some things but on others....

Who wouldn't be... that's why they use models!

Yes, but I also imagine how it would look on my body, which doesn't look anything like the models.

This is pretty much me as well. I know they use models for a reason but I still am influenced at least somewhat based on how they look in a piece. After seeing the product page though I'll typically want to see it on someone else in their review so I can form a whole opinion on the lingerie.

Of course. It is a first impression. Pictures are worth a million words in my opinion. The more the better.

I'm really not swayed into buying lingerie if it looks good on the model because models are severely photoshopped and airbrushed and everyone's body type is different. So I don't trust getting lingerie solely on how good it looks on a model.

No. I'm overly cautious about things that look 'amazing' on models because I know I'm not shaped like one.

I do appriciate when real reviewers show the product in the very least and show fit on a real body. I think that is very helpful

Other... it's hard to go by models because I find their bodies to be unrealistic, at least compared to mine.

I like the reviews pictures better, they're more realistic.

yes and no if it look good on the model then I will try to find a review on it and see if there is a different that could change my mind or not.

Yes. More important to me, though, is to see contributor uploaded images of them in the item. I'd rather see what an item looks like on a REAL person, not an air-brushed and Photoshopped model.

At first, yes. But after about four seconds, reality slaps me in the face and reminds me that I am not shaped like that. I then try to find photos of people closer to my size wearing it.

Yeah, obviously if you see what something can look like you want it more, but turns out not everyone is a model

I'm in no way the size of the model. However, if it looks amazing on her, I am more waived than if it looks bad on her. If it looks bad on her, I KNOW it won't look good on me. Haha. But I also consider how it would look on me. If there's review photos, I look at those and they make or break it. If not, I just have to guess.
