Lace lingerie - pros, cons

Contributor: lezergirl lezergirl
I've always hated lace lingerie b/c I find it itchy and I get show through, but I recently read that it is the most supportive bra material - is that actually the case? Slash is it worth it?

I don't find it the most supportive. Lace bras usually have less structure, unless they are lace with a lining inside. Lace bras usually don't bother me, unless they are made from a particularly scratchy lace, but lace panties can chaffe if I wear them all day and do a lot of walking. The other day I wore some lace boyshorts and my inner thighs are still a bit red

I absolutely love lacey stuff. Always and forever want lacy things especially in lingerie.

I haven't found it all that supportive (allows for too much movement for my liking - especially if ya larger. The lace gives too much!
Plus it irritates me.

I don't believe it's the most supportive, but I don't really need it to be since I'm an A cup. I don't find it itchy unless it's really cheap stuff then it is uncomfortable. I love lace though, more than have of my lingerie is lace. It just makes me feel really feminine and pretty.

I don't find the lace to be itchy, at least not as itchy as mesh can be. I think a lot of that is in the quality, and how long it is meant to be worn--is it an undergarment for show/playtime, or made to be worn all day? That usually indicates how long it will be comfortable to wear, in my experience.

Lace is usually comfortable as long as you don't get the cheap stuff. I hate when the little elastic strings break and hang out of the lace... I try to avoid the kind that looks like it would do that.
