Losing Weight

I weight 200-210 lbs.
My normal weight target is 130 lbs.
I eat one full meal a day, and have high cholesterol.
I want to lose the weight within 3 months, any suggestions?

Diet Pills, if so what kind really work?
Supplement Drink and Protein Bars, what you recommend and how to use.

That's a weight loss goal of almost 7 lb a week, which seems pretty tough. I think that these are usually the best things to do:

Drink a lot of water
Cut out unhealthy snacks
Eat several smaller meals! If you eat 200 calories 6 times a day, it is much better than eating 1000 calories all at once

As far as diet pills and such-- it really depends. I had some weird hormonal issues and put on a LOT of weight, and my doctor put me on a super low dose of Phentrimine. The con is that you can only be on it for 3 months. They also have some long-term medications that prevent fat absorption... but those tend to be pretty unpleasant!

I actually have an ap on my iPod that lets me keep track of what I eat and my exercise. If you have to log all of the snacks and such you eat, it helps to make you more conscientious.

As Ryuson pointed out, 7 lbs a week is really high and unsustainable. The recommendation is to aim for 2 lbs a week or less. I'd recommend eating whole foods, eliminate processed foods, drink plenty of water, avoid soda and sugary juices, and exercise. Track your calories and measure your portions. Everything will fall into place soon enough.

Do not take diet pills
Do not go on a trendy diet
Do not eat one meal a day
Do not stare and obsess over a scale and calendar

The theory of weight loss is very simple: eat healthy and stay active. Eating one meal a day will just make it so you are starving later on and then you go crazy and overeat.

You and anyone else who puts their mind to it can lose weight. It requires you to change yourself and that is the hard part. You don't have to be super vegen and never eat yummy food again. You have to commit to being healthy and fit forever. Never quit and never give up on yourself.

I agree with Ryuson, go slow. 70 lbs in 3 months is way too fast. Start slow and add more and more healthy eating and more exercise. If you eat fast food, for one meal a week replace that with healthy homemade food. Slowly cut down on soda/snacks and go on a 15-20 minute walk every other day. Slowly replace your diet and do more and more activity until it is second nature to be healthy.
