Models for Lingerie Packaging

Do you think the women who pose for packaging/store photos are sometimes too distracting to really focus on the clothes, or even make the clothing look worse than it is? They look so... strange to me, and sometimes make lingerie shopping unusual or difficult.

The way the model is designed is how the company wants to portray themselves... that's all I got

I agree with this, that is why I like that a lot of the contributors especially the plus sized ones who share their ACTUAL photos. The "plus size" models do nothing for me because they are truly just average sized people.

I think it's funny when the models pose in a weird way or from the side so you can't even see parts of the clothing. No one poses like that in real life, haha.

It's online clothing shopping or what I like to call "pay and pray" that you get something good.

I've seen plenty of plus size models that are bigger than me.....and I am plus size.

The other day I was looking at a piece of lingerie that featured a plus size model in the pictures and a video. I was surprised to realize that the company had "thinned" her out for the photos. She was obviously plus-sized, but still beautiful, in the video, but the picture made her look "average" sized.

Overall, the video gave me a much better idea of what the piece would look like on a curvy woman.

I've never been fully distracted by the models, I usually rip open the packaging as soon as I get them!

It's hard when the women have a ridiculous breast to hip/waist ration. I don't have large breasts but a small/medium waist and a rather larger back side. This makes shopping for sets a pain, I'm never sure if that looks awesome and would look great on me or because of her breasts being the size of my head and her waist the size of my thigh. The "real life" photos help tremendously.

Thanks to this site that no matter what size we are we do have the women who post pics in the lingerie so we can see what it actually looks like on someone instead of a model. I am so glad I have found this place.

I agree with JustLikeHeaven--thank goodness we can post pics of normal, NON-PHOTOSHOPPED women wearing the outfits. Most of the weirdness is the photoshopping, not necessarily the poses or women, but the fake additions/subtractions to the bodies of these women. No wonder everyone has a complex about their bodies--even lingerie models are all photo faked!!!

Yes it can be distracting and hard to tell what to expect when you purchase it. Thats why i love when reviews are written if they include photos. Shows more realistically what you can expect.

Its not distracting but discouraging I feel that i might not look good in it but with reviews i can get a good idea of what a real women looks like in it.
