Recommended pieces for plus size with body issues?

I know my husband would love for me to venture into lingerie land, but I have varied personal issues with my body, like many of us do. I am particularly distressed with it comes to my torso. Ribcage to crotch... I just can't stand the thought of highlighting the area. I like The Mesh babydoll with g-string, but I am concerned in particular with something like this being too short for my taste. I have tried lingerie in the very far past, and it only wound up with me balled up in a corner begging not to be looked at. I wish I were exaggerating! It kind of comes down to me really just not wanting to be looked at... and I'm trying to get past that. I think making that step in something that *I* feel appealing in is super important. That means, covering up the bits I don't want hanging out. Would you have any suggestions?

You should look for items marked "mini-dress" if you want the hem to fall below the crotch area. It looks like most marked "chemise" and "babydoll" stop right at or just millimeters below the crotch.

I own the Nude Affair Lace Long Gown (there is also a babydoll version) and I think it is very flattering to torso imperfections. It gives a little lift to the boobs, and the lace bottom gives a little bit of camouflage to everything else. I wanted the babydoll length because I'm not tall, but my husband likes them floor-length, so I bought the gown & train (that's how I think of it).

I don't own the Heart Cut Out Gown but the solid side panels are designed to slim the torso and the belly-to-crotch area is covered while the legs are shown off.

Good luck!
