It's probably be because she has never been properly fitted for a bra. Getting measured makes a world of difference.

I agree. Take her to VS and have them fit her for a bra. Make a date out of it. She'll love that you're taking the time to go buy her some lingerie.

It might also be she doesn't like underwire in her bras, since most sports bras don't have it. Try wireless! And of course, proper fitting bras should increase the comfort factor.

I agree, try the wireless at first, or specifically look for softer materials if there is an underwire if she doesn't mind them

I can understand being uncomfortable. Cheaper bras are less comfortable than bras that you spend money on. The underwire can hurt if it is not covered by the right material.

Getting properly fitted for a bra makes a world of difference. It will take a period of adjustment because they feel different, but she may be able to find she can be comfortable in a regular bra if it's properly fitted for her.

Sports bras are very comfortable and I can tell if I have worn one for several days that regular bras get on my nerves. I don't like under wires either.

I have large breasts and underwire bras are most comfortable for me....my boobs seem to like being lifted and separated! It's less sweaty too.

I must say though, if I was rocking a true B cup...I probably wouldn't be wearing a bra at all!

When girls find a bra that is comfy....we tend to keep with the same one. You may be right that she's just used to them!
