To order down or not to order down...

So I've been reading reviews on this as I hope to be the proud owner of one of these very soon, and yet I'm not sure which size to order.

I would be a medium according to the size chart, but I don't really want the cinch to merely cling to my shape, I'd like to see it suck it in a bit for a dramatic look. I don't want it to be PAINFUL - well, not TOO painful, anyway - but I'd be willing to tolerate a little pinching to get a cool silhouette.

So, for those that own this - does ordering the small sound plausible? Or do you imagine I'll be pinched too much? Any input is appreciated!

I don't own it yet, but I would imagine that you could let out the strings in the back to keep it from being too pinchy, although I think you'd end up with a strip of exposed skin if the corset was too small. I don't know how much that actually helps you tho.

When in doubt, order both sizes and return the one that doesn't fit as well.

It's a good idea but I still have to front double the money in that case...hm... I'm going to wait on this one.

why not measure your ribcage/waist/etc., so you'll have a totally accurate fit, and then you can pick appropriately?

I'm curious to hear how it fits, hope you report back when you do order!

I would order the smaller size and then return it for the larger if you have to. The last time I returned lingerie it only cost me like $3 in shipping.

I know my measurements, but I'm not sure which size will give me a better cinch (while still being semi-comfortable.)

I suggest going for the smaller size. With the adjustable lacing in the back you would have the ability to achieve the killer curves you want without substituting comfort by simply letting pulling a string. I recently bought a corset in my size, and couldn't even wear it because it is too big. I was so upset that I went and ordered another one in a size small and I was able to adjust it perfectly! This should fit basically like a corset minus the fabric for boobies, so I doubt you would have any problems. Think about it, if you buy it in your size, how much thinner could it make you look?

Go for the smaller size. My experience with Leg Avenue corsets has been that they run a bit bigger than the size chart says anyway.

I've had a similar question about this corset. The size chart isn't helping me at all! My waist is just over 31 inches, which looks like an X-large. I'm a B cup bust, which is a small-medium.

Should I get the medium and hope for the best?

It should be adjustable to a pretty big degree. I'm not sure about the difference between a medium and an extra large, but there should be plenty of room with the laces. I mean, the very worst that happens is that you buy one size, don't like it, and return it or sell it to someone who'll wear it?

If you haven't already ordered, you should probably go with the waist/hip measurements as this style doesn't really take breast size into account.

in my experience, smaller is better, for the "snug" fit that corsets of all makes give.

You can pull it as tight as you need to.

It's better to get it too small than too big. Too small will just leave you with some skin showing in the back (plus it will give you room to tighten it more when your waist gets used to it,)while too big will look sloppy and fall off of you.
