is there anything that numbs the anus a little bit? I'm having issues with intitial pain, even when we use lube.

EdenFantasys used to sell anal numbing lube products, but in the interest of public safety stopped the practice. You can still find them at lesser sites, but EF took a stand on the subject. The pain is your body's way of telling you that there is a problem. Anal play often requires extensive warm up and if it is taken too fast there will be some pain. Consider some self training so you can figure out how to open things up better on your own which will help when you are with your partner as well. You partner also could concentrate on being more patient and working you open more gradually. Good luck!

I usually try wearing a plug around for a little bit. If I can't relax enough to get a plug in without pain, it's a no go for a while. You just need to make yourself relax. Jimbo has it right, I think, with self play.

Morin's Anal Pleasure and Health is probably the best reference on learning to have a positive and sensual relationship with your anus out there, if you're looking for something to read.
Before you can fully relax, you need to be comfortable with the idea of anal play. Start with just outside stimulation for a while and get used to the feelings of your anus. Once you're comfortable with that, then try penetration with a finger. Learn to relax, identify your fears/anxieties/concer ns and learn to let go of them, and learn to enjoy the sensations of anal stimulation. Then you can start from the beginning (external stimulation) with your partner.

I like anal play. But just recently start with my partner. I have a couple wands I like. And can take them easily. But when he goes for insertion it hurts. He's much thicker then my toys.

Ughhhhh I learned this the hard way. Please heed this advice, because ignoring the pain or suppressing it can lead to more pain/problems that last for months after.

Ease up to it, then. Probably the best thing to do would be to buy a tapered butt plug or probe that gets to be as big as he is or slightly bigger. Practice relaxing until you can take it all comfortably. Make sure that you include him in your play as well, since anxiety can cause your anus to tighten.

Please don't use any numbing agents! Please! Pain is your body's way of telling you that something is wrong. If you're doing it correctly, it shouldn't hurt. There may be slight pain upon initial insertion, but it's never going to be completely painless. If it hurts, stop. Relax. Breathe. Add more lube. Use fingers, toys, whatever to warm up. You should be using a lubricant with about the consistency of a hair gel, as this helps for anal penetration.

But if you've numbed the area, you're not going to know if something rips or tears because you won't be able to feel it. Pain is your body telling you that something is wrong. If you can't feel that, then you won't know if something really does rip or tear. You'll have no idea that there is a problem. They are really unsafe and I really wouldn't recommend them. At all.

I don't see it on EF, but I used to use a product called "Anal Ease". It came in a small tube like Orajel and I want to say we picked it up at Spencers? Heck if I know if they still carry it, though.
I didn't much care for it. There was almost no sensation when using it. But it worked like a charm!

OMG! You do want sensation but not pain....but the concept of pain may be relative. Suggest as others have warming up with various plugs...smaller to larger, in one session, to open up. After a few times you will probably notice that your ass easily will take a larger object. The ass seems to remember for the next time so fewer steps are needed.
I wear an NJOy Pure Plug around, feels so good and has me so ready for serious penetration and thrusting. Good luck and enjoy!

Of course you don't want pain, but not being able to feel anything is dangerous. And if it hurts, you aren't doing it correctly. Mind discomfort is one thing, but pain is something different altogether. Numbing agents are dangerous, and I'm glad that EF does not carry them.

Also, your comment was rude. There are nicer ways to disagree with someone.

I find it interesting that you say, "There was almost no sensation when using it. But it worked like a charm!" If there's no sensation at all in what you're doing, then who are you really doing it for? Yourself or your partner? You're clearly not enjoying it because you can't even feel it. And why would you want to be unable to feel what is happening to you?

Intimate Organics has a great anal relaxing spray that using natural clove oil to relax the area but to still feel the sensation. Lidocaine or Benzocaine can be very dangerous in terms of tearing etc, and the person not having a clue it is happening! Also over long term it is toxic. Try DARING (men) or ADVENTURE (women)... both verison are on EF!

Adventure relaxing spray worked really well for me - is the Daring spray the same but packaged for men??????
