I know that glycerin causes me problems. I will typically get a yeast infection not a uti, but it is possible. Look and see if your lube has that ingredient. I also have allergic reactions, burning, irritation, itchyness when there are parabens. Did you see your Dr? I like h2o ride by sliquid. I have never had any trouble with that one. Good luck finding the culprit! Sometimes keeping a journal of products used along with dates used can help you figure it out.

A UTI for a male is extremely uncommon because of anatomy. The male urethra is much longer and prevents most ascending infections. Also, the fact that it spread to your kidneys (pyelonephritis) is extremely concerning. Infections of the kidneys can potentially damage them and result in decreased function. Hopefully you have spoken to your doctor about this because I would think this is extremely uncommon.

Never had one myself. Like with women, I always pee after sex/toy use so that anything in the urethra comes out and does not sit there for a long time.

Sounds to me like a trip to the DR is in order.

some of the lubes have ingredients that can be irritating and glycerin can mess up the regular bacteria and can lead to infections. hope you feel better soon!!
