I've always used water-based lubes with silicone toys but does anyone know if oil-based lubes are ok back there?

Yes they are, so long as you're careful. They can be hard to wash off and are only meant for anal and male masturbation. It's safe to use on silicone, just make sure to remember it wont work with all materials.

Just keep them away from latex condoms (don't use on latex condoms, don't use for toy/finger play before using latex condoms). Urethane/plastic condoms are OK.

They work pretty well for anal, too.
