Best water-based lubricant?

Contributor: leopardprint leopardprint
Hey everyone! I'm almost out of my water-based lube and I want to invest in something awesome to replace it. Here's what would make it awesome:

-paraben free
-glycerin free (I get frequent yeast infections)
-NO taste, or very little inoffensive flavor (I use silicone toys in the same sessions as oral sex often)
-no weird chemical smells
-not too runny OR in a pump bottle

What do you think? I've heard rave reviews about Sliquid H20 & Probe, but I'm sure there are others. Any other suggestions/input?

Have you looked into O'my? I have allergies to many things and have found that this worked the best for me. Plus it comes in a pump bottle. I have found it hard to decide on what other kinds of water based lubes to try, kinda stuck between 3 others right now. I'll look into others when mine runs out but that will be a while.

Hope you find something that fits what you are looking for.

Try Maximus. I love it and have referred several people to it and everyone has liked it. The reviews on it are wonderful. One good thing for you is that it is bio-static, so it prevents the spread of bacteria which will help with the yeast infections.

Pretty sure O'my got discontinued.

My go-to lube is Babelube, but it has parabens in it so you wouldn't like it. I recently gave Swede Aqua Comfort a try and I'm really liking it... basically the same consistency as Babelube but paraben-free. It comes in a pump bottle, too.

I've heard that Maximus tastes kind of funny-- have you had experiences with it?

I think Probe kicks Maximus ' ass from here to eternity as far as natural feel and how long it stays wet. Its also really pure.

You're probably right. I apparently completely forgot the part of your post about oral sex. LOL. Since I normally don't use lube in the same session I do oral, I just glazed right over that part.

If you have luck finding one that tastes good, please share. I have had no luck with that at all, to the point that I've given up. Maybe my taste buds are just screwy.

How could you forget the part about oral sex in my unrealistically-long list of lube expectations?!

Thanks for your input! I'll let you know if I find anything awesome.

I tried out the "Ultra Lubricant" sold on this site, and its a very good thickness, with none of the downsides of bad lube.

Maximus == OWWWCH!!! for people with sensitivities to parabens. I asked the manufacturer, and they said that they're working on a paraben-free version, but it'll be a while.
I love Probe because I don't react to anything in it and it is tasteless, but it contains a bit of glycerin.

I've heard good things about the carrageenan-based (Carrageenan Naturals/Oceanus) lubes, and good things about Hathor Aphrodesia.

Seconding the OWWW and funny taste of Maximus. Also, I've tried the Carrageenan lube and found it kinda meh for extended use. Others have loved it though, so YMMV.

Personally, I really like the Sliquid water-based line, nothing in it bothers me at all. I've used the standard Sliquid H20 and the Ride H20, and I like Ride more just because it's thicker and lasts better.

I've never tried Probe, so I can't compare there.
