Hello.
As suggested by the title, I am curious as to whether the people of Eden have experienced the sad event of silicone toys deteriorating when they come into contact with silicone lubricant. This can be full-toy damage or a positive patch test.
Personally, I love silicone lube; unlike many water-based lubes, it doesn't cause me any irritation or pain, and it simply feels and endures so much better in my opinion. Unfortunately, I also love silicone toys. For a long time, I've had to refrain from using silicone lubricant with my silicone items because I didn't want to ruin the integrity of the toy. However, the lubes I buy tend to be from reputable brands, and my silicone toys are from reputable companies (Tantus and Fun Factory in my case).
The patch test has always been negative for any signs of reaction, but I was still afraid to try slathering any of my favourites with silicone lubricant. I've read the Lube Compatibility Workshop conducted by ToyTimeTim a while ago, and the results surprised me... In a good way.
I decided to bite the bullet and try combining my favourite lube and my favourite toy material... To no adverse effect!
Please feel free to share your experiences regarding silicone compatibility. I am beginning to wonder if deterioration truly is dependent on the quality and purity of the lube and toy, so any information is helpful. Voting is private.
Thank you!
