I need a good water-based lube.

I'd like no parabens and no glycerine. But what I really want is a water based lube that doesn't dry out fast or gets tacky. Yuck.

I would mainly be using it with silicone toys. All other activities are done with my favorite lube, Wet Platinum Silicone lube. But of course, I can't use that with silicone toys.

I recently tried Sliquid Sassy and a flavored Sliquid lube and I was not impressed with them. They both seemed to me like they dried out fast and I had to keep reapplying a lot of it. Is this just the way it is with water based lube? Or does a product exist that will give me better performance.

What's your favorite? Why?

You guys might save me from buying a bunch of duds.

I use Sliquid H2O myself. I don't think it dries out especially fast, but I don't tend to go for extended sessions with my toys anyway, and if I go a bit longer and need to reapply once or twice it doesn't bug me. I like it mainly because it's body-safe and feels extremely natural.

I don't care for the sliquid line. they seem to leave a tacky feeling and need to be reapplied. idk about parabans or anything. but liquid silk is amazing. we use it for anal play and once we get the toy all lubed up, we don't have to put more on. plus i never get a sticky feeling.

good luck on your hunt.

I have sliquid silk and pink water and enjoy them both.

My wife and I use Sliquid Organics Gel and it works fine for both of us, but we use it only for occasional vaginal lubrication and pegging with silicone toys; I use it solo with glass and silicone anal toys. I'm impressed with how well it DOESN'T dry out with anal toys (even when I leave them in for 90 minutes) and it doesn't dry out vaginally or in pegging, either.

It might be different with silicone toys used externally. And I haven't tried many other lubes, just KY, Astroglide and BSE silicone. We like it better than any of those.

I know of one that is not sold on this site. What is sold here, I would go with JO H2O. I have had no problems using this brand. It last for ever. It has never gotten sticky on us. It is a great overall use lube.

I use sliquid satin and LOVE it. It is my most highly recommended lube. I don't have too much trouble with it drying out too soon (though I admit I don't last too long when playing with my toys...). I admit it seems like it goes away fast if you've been using silicone based lubes in the past...those last forever!

Thanks for the suggestions.

Seems like a lot of people really like Sliquid products. Maybe I've just been spoiled by using silicone lube all these years. I don't even really remember using water based lube, it was so long ago. But now I need it for my toys so... I'm on the hunt.

I have a couple products in mind to try next but I am going to wait until I use up the rest of the Sliquid.

It might be awhile but when I try something else I'll update this thread.

If the main use is with silicone toys, then just keep in mind to patch-test with Liquid Silk (it's a hybrid lube, and those can sometimes react with toys). And it does have a TON of parabens in it.

For the OP: avoid System JO if you're looking to avoid glycerin and parabens. JO has both, though it does last an impressively long time.
