I have a lube dilemma

I have a Lube Dilemma.

I have issues with UTIs and yeast infections and eczema on my hands. Also, nearly all the toys we use are silicone.

That rules out, as lube ingredients; ANY seaweed based ingredients (Guar gum, carrageenan etc) glycerin, parabens, anything that "tingles, warms or cools" and of course, any silicone.

I used to use Sliquid. Despite what the Eden description says, Sliquid changed their formulation more than a year and a half ago. The old formulation of many of their lubes (H2O Ride, H2O etc) worked well and didn't irritate either my girly bits or cause eczema.

Sadly, the new formulation, for Sliquid H2O Ride (Dude Lube), Sliquid H2O and even the base for their organic lubes contain now; Purified Water, Plant Cellulose (from Cotton), Cyamopsis (Guar Conditioners), Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid. I have tried all of the above and ALL cause either irritation or eczema, due to the Guar, which is made from seaweed.

Also, due the problems with pesticide migration from one field to another, there is virtually NO form of "organic cotton" (farmers use more pesticides on cotton than almost any crop, even farmers who don't use pesticides on their crops have been proven to often have pesticide contamination from pesticides floating over from their neighbor's crops) so anything with Plant Cellulose from cotton is virtually impossible to prove to be pesticide free.

I've tried to find a new lube, but can't find much. I did shell out $20.00 for 3.58 ounces of the regular Simone lube. It was OK, but Eden doesn't carry it anymore. And the pump leaks. Eden now only carries the "cooling" kind of Simone. This would cause irritation in my body.

What is a sensitive girl to do? I can find nothing that is suitable for my body. I've been through searches at least 20 times and I can find nothing.

Any ideas? I always thought I could always find what I needed on Eden, but I'm frustrated, stumped and rapidly running out of the now-not-being-carried overpriced Simone plain lube. C'mon, Eden, can we please have more lubes for discerning, adult, sensitive people would be appreciated. (Enough kiddy Kool Aid flavored stuff, tingling, warming, cooling, and/or glycerin, paraben and chemical laden stuff. )

My only recourse is to go off site or go with the somewhat sticky LELO Personal Moisturizer, which used to be about low on my list of favorite lubes.

I have a lot of sensitivities to lubes and my husband discovered a few of his lately as well. What I have done with the sticky lubes, like Lelo, that I end up having to use occasionally is add a half a teaspoon per ounce of Aloe Vera and one teaspoon of water per 2 ounces. This really helps to add some slippery glide and removes much of the tackiness or gummy lube balling tendencies.

You can get the aloe at a health food store--but make sure it has NO other additives. Or do what I do--snap a leaf of your own plant, much safer!! Hope this helps--I am not as sensitive as you are but do hate the irritations from the wrong lube!!

HUGS!!! Glad you are back!!!!

Thank you, js. I appreciate it. The problem with Aloe is the taste. My Man and I switch back and forth between all different types of play, and oral is thrown in frequently and Aloe... tastes horrible. *sigh* I would also worry about bacteria, since I get so many UTIs, that I'm afraid to add anything to an already balanced lube.

There was one lube I wanted to try, but it was discontinued. I really wish we could search for "glycerin free" or "Guar Gum free" but if you put that into the search engine, it shows you stuff with the stuff you don't want.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do. We used the Simone last night, and I'm rapidly running out.

Thank you, though. I appreciate your help.
