It seems I always get a UI infection after I use any type of lubricants. I take antibiotics and it just seems to keep reoccurring. I also drink cranberry juice. Does any body out there have any suggestions as to how to get rid of urinary infections for good?

Do the lubricants you use contain glycerin?
Peeing after sex is a good idea. Try to go to the toilet as soon as you need to rather than holding it. Wipe from front to back. Avoid bubble baths, feminine deodorant sprays and tight clothing. Wear cotton underwear.

I used to get UTIs after every time I had sex! It was horrible. I had to go to the doctor each time and get antibiotics, I started to just stop taking the pills as soon as the infection went away so that I still had pills left for next time it happened. haha. I guess I just got used to it though because it just stopped happening on it's own

Yup, this. I used to get UI after sex all the time. I now only use Sliquid lubes (no glycerin or parabens) and that cleared it up. Also peeing after sex helps a lot.

I get a lot of UTIs. I found that when I used lube with glycerin, parabens, or any sweeteners, or flavors I would get a UTI. I also found that lubes that claimed to "warm" "cool" or "tingle" would also cause UTIs.
I can use basic, water based lubes with few ingredients in them. I like the Sliquid Ride H2O "Dude Lube" and the Sliquid Organic. I still get UTIs, but nothing like when I used these "chemical dump" lubes with flavors and glycerin and etc.
The only way to "Get rid of them for good" is to see a doctor and perhaps have a surgical procedure. I had this procedure years ago and it kept me nearly UTI free for many years. But, the problem has returned, and I am not ready to go through the procedure again.

Wow, your saying surgical procedure, that's scary! Well, first of all let me ask did it hurt? and second, what did the doctor have to do, like what kind of surgical procedure?

So, hopefully that happens maybe my body doesn't like new chemicals in the different lubes, and it might just get used to it. Thanks.

is there any kind of sugar in it? Maybe use organic all-natural lube.

Thanks also for giving some of the names of lubes I should try instead.

I never thought of that. I have had a problem before that usually happend after sex(we don't always use lubricant so I wasn't linking my problem)... now I wonder if it was because of the lubricant... hmm, now I am curious.

Maybe it's one of the ingredients in the lube.

I'm not saying you need a surgical procedure. I had to have my urethra dilated, I had polyps that had to be removed and they opened the urethra surgically. I had also had a constricted urethra, which is why I had so many UTIs. I had hemorrhagic cystitis, for which, when they repeat even with the use of antibiotics, sometimes requires surgery.

Only your doctor would know if you need surgery. Not everyone does. I'd talk to a Gyno-Urologist for the best care.

If you have a Dollar General in your area, they sell a product called "Super Fat Burning System" for $2.00 a bottle. Of course, it doesn't burn an ounce of fat, like many diet scams it's actually a diuretic. It works great for preventing UTIs, because it contains cranberry extract, juniper berry tar, and several other natural diuretics in pill form.
Alternately, if you have no sense of smell, you could go straight for the juniper berry tar, often sold at tractor supply stores, but that stuff stinks worse than a septic tank full of jelly dildos, so I doubt most humans could even successfully swallow it without gagging.

I always got them whenever I went without sex for a long time or had sex without a condom. Azo tabs are great.
