Warming Lubes: Too hot or not enough?

Contributor: Eliza Eliza 12/05/2010

Everyone I talk to has a different opinion on warming lubes. Sometimes I think it might be the person's own sensitivity, other times the quality of the lube. Which product got it right for you?

I've only tried System JO warming for anal, and I did not feel any warming sensation

That's unfortunate. I've used the ID (not for anal, though) and found that I have to reapply a lot to keep the warm sensation.

I've only tried Wet warming, and I hated it. It irritated me and was kinda...thick, but in a weird icky way. It had to be reapplied a lot. It was just bad.

I like the system jo h20, I've tried other types of warming lubes- wet warming, a KY brand, and when I used them with too much friction, it became unbearable. I have never had a sensitivity to any lubes except warming ones, and I'm not sure why, and it's frustrating!

I've only tried ID warming and it was alright but pretty subtle, a very lukewarm kind of warming. Next time around I think I'm probably gonna try JO.

I have tried the 2nd and 3rd. Jo was the best so far.

I tried a different brand before, and it left me in pain and with an irritation. Since then, I do not use any fancy lubes, except for my water based lubes.

I've only used one warming lube. It's the KY Touch Massage 2-in-1 warming. My girlfriend and I have used this for both massages and as a lubricant, and neither of us have noticed any warming what-so-ever. It works well as a lube and as a massage oil, but as for the warming . . . we were both quite disapointed.

When I tried using that product, I thought my member recieved a oneway ticket the blazing inferno of hell. I have very durable skin, nothing seems to bother me, but this was the exception. I'm glad you had better results though.

What they need is a "two part" one, where you can add as much of the "warming" or "cooling" component as you like.

Honestly I'm not really into many of the warming/cooling/extra sensory lubes even though we've tried quite a few just to see how they feel.

I generally don't like the warming lubes at all. I like the cooling gels more. I think the warming sensation is often too intense for me, and actually feels like it's burning me.

I tried a warming lube awhile ago, I can't remember which now, but it turned me off totally. It could be simply because I have extremely sensitive skin, but it burned horribly. I don't think I'll ever try another warming lube again, and I'll stick to other types for that interesting perk in the bedroom.

I've used two but can't recall the name of either of them; not ones you listed. Neither really got that warm. It's noticeable but not really an amazing new sensation.

I've tried JO warming (women) but found that it absolutely did not heat up at all, I then tried KY warming and it actually warmed up a little but lasted all of 2mins which wasn't even useful for a quick solo. I've been meaning to try WET and ID but i don't want to pay 5 bucks for a bottle that I'll never finish, i wish eden had more little samples of the lubes they offer cause it would definitely make it easier to buy the big ones if we knew we'd like them. Maybe like charge 50cents for a little 10ml sample, something to try....i dont know i find lube a very annoying topic.
