What is your “go-to” lube? What is your favorite? Why?

I used to like Maximus, but I liked using it anally, and that's where it irritates me. It's fine for PIV, but anal is no good. So now I like Ride H2O (which I believe I got at P'Gell's suggestion), and I love it so far. It's thick enough for whatever I need to use it for, but it doesn't have the nasty things that irritate me.

If I'm using a glass or metal toy or something I can use silicone lube on, I like Fun Factory Bodyfluid. It's smooth and awesome.

We have a few lubes and I definitely want to try many more, but ultimately water based lubricants are just a lot more convenient for us. They won't stain our sheets if we get to worked up to get a towel, won't leave hardly any residue on our bodies because it just soaks in eventually, and most of our toys are silicone even though we usually don't use toys during sex. You never know though.

So far I don't actually have a preference with water based lubes, but I bought my husband a bottle of Maximus a while ago and it's very convenient with the pump top and it doesn't leak. We keep it on its side in my bedside table drawer.

I should definitely keep my bottle of Pink Silicone in the shower though, as mentioned by above users. We have quite sporadic shower sex which often gets moved to the bedroom due to lack of lubricant.

Astroglide. It was a good thickness and other bottles we bought kept leaking. This didnt

I have not tried the regular Sliquid H2O, as it has sorbitol in it, which is a flavoring and I'm sensitive to it.

The Ride H2O has no parabens (which I believe Maximus does have) nor glycerin nor flavorings.

I am really sensitive to a lot of chemicals, and we've never had a problem with the Sliquid Ride H2O. I highly recommend it. If you can, I'd order the Ride from Eden. I have at least 6 or 7 other bottles of lube sitting around that just left me raw, irritated or actually caused infection. I've never had a problem with the Sliquid Ride H2O.

For toys I like Pink Frolic, and for intercourse we usually got with Wet Original. For anal I like silicone lubes generally (unless we're using the silicone toys), but have yet to find a real go-to. I'm dying to try all the Sliquids (and Maximus, and Hydra, and Pjur, and...) but I have so much lube at home already that I can't at all justify buying anything new. Sigh. Guess I'm just gonna have to get to work using it all up

Pjur original bodyglide is the best of the best. Worth every penny too.
It lasts FOREVER and feels really silky. <3 it.

I use a few different lubes depending on the situation. Maximus is my favorite for any anal play, although I did buy a bottle of Anal Lube and have not tried it yet.

For a silicone based, I use Bodyglide and recently got a bottle of Better Sex Essentials Silicone which is also nice.

I also like Liquid Silk, although I don't like the taste.

We used to use a KY warming lube but it was just too damn sticky to clean up afterward without jumping in the shower.

Maximus and Liquid silk are what we go back and forth between now, depending on what's in stock and if we feel like changing it up a little bit, so we don't get tired of one or the other's feel. In any case, we don't use anything but water-based.

I have a bottle of Jo H2O in the nightstand and some Frolic--same manufacturer as Pink.

As awesome as Maximus is, I think I may have a sensitivity issue with it. I've found that Sliquid's Sassy Booty gel is even more awesome than Maximus for anal, and it's also paraben and glycerin-free. I've yet to try Sliquid's H2O Ride, but I think I will soon.

My go-to lube is Probe. Yep, it has some funny properties (stringiness mainly), and it does have glycerin (so if you're prone to yeast problems you might want to give it a miss), but I'm sensitive to stuff in lubes and Probe doesn't bug me at all. It's also inexpensive compared to the other "safe for chemically sensitive types" lubes.

We love Maximus for everything but water play and oral play and it doesn't even get in the way for oral play, it just doesn't enhance the experience like a better flavored lube. For water play we go with a silicone lube like Eros Original Bodyglide.

The first lube I bought was I can't believe it's not boy butter. It's water based. It's the only lube I own, and if I ever finish it I'd like to try something else.

My go-to lube is Sliquid Organics Natural. It feels very natural and doesn't cause any irritation. It also lasts fairly long and doesn't get flaky when it starts to dry.

I like Blossom Organics lubes. They are thick, work great, have little to no smell or taste, and are safe!

I'm not sure if I will EVER find a lube that I like better than Hathor Aphrodisia Pure.

I can't use lubes with glycerin, and I avoid parabens to be safe since I am so ridiculously sensitive. Hathor Aphrodisa Pure does not have either, so it fulfilled those requirements for me.

In the past, I've felt like I've had to sacrifice a bit in performance to fulfill those requirements. But I do not feel this way about Hathor Aphrodisia Pure. Even my husband prefers it over all the lubes we own (and we own quite a few really good ones---AND he is not even limited to glycerin-free and paraben-free lubes because he has no sensitivity issues).

It is so decadently thick, deliciously slick, and wonderfully soothing. And it just lasts and lasts. We just absolutely love it!

I tried the Ride H20 and I still have burning issues. However, we just got Hathor's lube this week and it works like a champ vaginally and anally! Hopefully, I won't develop a reaction to that one. I really like it so far.

I'm sorry that happened. We're all different. The Hathor causes burning for me.

The Ride H2O is perfect for us. It takes some trial and error to figure out what works for you.
