What's wrong with l-arginine?

Contributor: Howells Howells
I can't find the reason why it's bad. I see it all the time in the descriptions that this and that is l-arginine free. As far as I know it's used in vitamin supplements, has all kinds of positive effects on blood vessesls, would healing, helps treat erectile dysfunction etc. So what's the deal with this?

I've heard that it can cause people with herpes to have an outbreak, so I think that's the main reason some people avoid it.

That is right. In fact L-arginine is 100% safe for our body. The problem is only for people with herpes and the possibility to have outbreaks.

So if you or your partner does not have herpes of any kind (oral or genital) you don't have to worry.

I'm so glad EF forums have a search feature! Now I finally know why some of the things I sell at work boast being l-arginine free! Thanks!!
