DO YOU MASTURBATE IF YOUR PARTNER IS AVAILABLE?

Contributor: teachmetouchme teachmetouchme
I have seen people post about masturbating at the same time as a partner of masturbating (with a sleeve for example) even if they are with a partner. I don't get it. I would just like some honest responses about how masturbation beats partner sex and if anyone prefers masturbation over partnered sex. Thank you all.

Sometimes I'll masturbate if I'm sleeping (literally sleeping) with someone and I wake up before them and I'm frisky. Sometimes they wake up to it and join in. Frequently a partner has woken up just as I was orgasming and rolled over to hold me as I came down from my orgasm. It takes me a long time and a lot of work to have an orgasm with a partner. Sometimes, one has gotten tired or if they aren't feeling well or something, I'll take over and finish myself while they hold me or tease my nipples or something. It can be less frustrating sometimes if my body is being fickle or difficult. I can get myself off faster than a partner can, usually. If we're pressed for time or tired or otherwise can't or don't want to take the time. If my partner is around and awake, I've never gone off on my own to masturbate.

Definitely, if the other one wants, they join in and we make a fun session out of it.

We don't prefer it over sex. But sometimes it's fun to masturbate in front of each other and watch each other. It mixes it up. That's all there is to it, really.

I masturbate when I want orgasms and have sex when I want sex. For me, they're two distinctly different things.

Well, there are a few times this comes into play. First is when one of us isn't in the mood and the other is trying to deal with the problem themselves/get the other person into the mood by being sexy. The second comes about when we're not alone. It's easier to masturbate him or myself under a blanket and not look odd than have full out sex. And finally, we'll masturbate together as foreplay. Also, sometimes it's just easier to get yourself off and be done with it than have sex.

I prefer masturbation to partnered sex a lot of the time. It's fast (or slow, or whatever you want), it gets the job done without hassle, and there is no need to worry about anyone else's pleasure or comfort. It's easy to completely dictate your own pleasure. So yes, even if my partner is around, I will still masturbate. Sometimes (a lot of the time), I just don't want the hassle of dealing with another person!

It can be fun when you are long distance and you are unable to physically be together.

Masturbating when a partner is available doesn't mean it BEATS partner sex. It's just different, and for me, it's part of a well-rounded sex life.
