While it may not effect the feel of a toy it does help with the visual aspect. I, for one, like a ass since that is something I can't have with my wife so that helps fulfill one of my fantasys.

The texture and stimulating qualities of the sleeve matter much more than what it looks like on the outside. The cosmetic features on the exterior of the toy matter very little.
