Do you get upset when your partner masterbates in the middle of the night?

No not at all.

I wish my wife would - it would be fun to be there. But alas she does not, but I do occasionally. She has to get up really early, so when I'm in the mood and she's not, I'll wait until she goes to sleep - but I'm very quiet, she's never noticed - or at least never admitted to hearing me.

He can masturbate all he wants! Now, I might have some choice words about him waking me up to do it though... I like my sleep!

Not at all. I have done the same thing. If the other person wakes up and notices we normally help each other out.

I wouldn't get upset. I might even join in to help if they didn't finish by the time I woke up.

Not at all, it's kind of cute. And it does make me want to join in, but I wouldn't push it. She does whatever she needs to do.

It's simple. It's quick. And, it's 3AM. Sometimes all one needs it a quick hand shake, if you get what I mean.

I masturbate sometimes during the night when I want a quickie so why should I have an issue when he masturbates during the night? If I am awake enough, I will reach over and give him a HJ.
I do appreciate it if he confines his cum, to his side of the bed.

Indeed. I don't mind the idea of someone masturbating without me, but dammit I enjoy sleep too much! ... Unless maybe I was in a mood to watch.

In this case, I don't blame you. If he's said that he's jerked off INSTEAD of coming to see you, I WOULD be offended. However, if it's a steady, live in, or around each other constantly type of relationship, no. I'm sleeping, and I'm not pretty when woken up! LOL When I was younger, and not so secure in myself, I would've been though.

I feel many people could benefit from some solo play, even with a healthy sex life. Sometimes it's nice to focus only on yourself.

So, mine does this but wont when I'm in the room. He'll get up and go to the bathroom, or wait until I go to work or something. I mostly think it's silly. There's no interference with our sex life. He only does it when I'm not in the mood to play..just never ever in front of me. Haha. I've had to sit with the laptop in another room and wait for him before.

I don't think it would really bother me, I mean we have sex pretty regularly and I'd rather have him doing that than going out for something else. He does what he has to and I get to keep sleeping.

It happens very rarely, but I find it a turn on to wake up hearing my wife masturbating. Reinforces the fact that she is a sexual being.

I would support it if my partner was into it, but my partner doesn't masturbate much.

My partner doesn't masturbate in the middle of the night, she jumps me. And yeah, it upsets me sometimes because of my insomnia.

I voted other, because I am highly sensitive and I get upset about stupid things. I don't have a problem with him pleasuring himself, but I sometimes feel like "what, I'm not good enough?". So it's kind of a mixed answer for me. In the end I'm fine with him doing it, I just don't like to think about it because it makes me insecure. Besides, if we're in bed, I would probably be happy to have him wake me up for that!!

I know there are a few women who feel this way. In my early 20's, I felt much the same way myself. But then an interesting thing happened one night. I woke up and was ready to go but he was out cold, sleeping peacefully. I didn't want to interrupt that, so I took matters into my own hands. I thought he would be upset about it, but he was kind of awed that I had a "guy moment". It was more about release than anything and he understood. So, that's how I try to think about it now. It's just an "get it over and done with so I can go back to sleep" thing, not an "I want sex, you're asleep, so I'll settle for this".

I understand what you are saying, but masturbation is "real sex."

Everybody does it. Some people are just better at being discreet.

The only reason it would bother me is because I don't get it as often as I'd like. It's never happened and the only time he does it is when I'm not around...not that I've told him not to. The thing is that if he's horny enough to want to jerk off, he's horny enough for sex, so we have sex. Damn meds and their lowering of sex drives.

I'm working on looking at life in general more like this! Anything can be negative if you look at it that way. A lot of things can also be positive.. you just have to decide how you want to look at them!

it'd bug me, there are times when I really want it and my bf is tired and wants to go to sleep and he'll tell me to just masturbate but even that seems odd. It just seems weird to me that if your partner is right with you theres no reason not to make it a group effort, even if you only masturbate together or do something other than sex.
