Do you like realism?

I have a friend who honestly doesn't want anything about her sex toys to symbolize any kind of realism. Whether it's a heavily phallic shape or cyberskin material, she just wants it to be like.. a sex toy, and not resemble anything close to what her hubby has. I'm unsure of why, she's shy about talking about it, but I think it's because her hubby feels somewhat inferior to all the sex toys friends have recommended her, so she sticks to things that are unrealistic and just simple.

Realistic toys creep me out. Uncanny valley- they are too realistic, but not realistic enough to read as real. It's just squicky for me, so I avoid them.

I'm a little creeped out by ultra-realistic toys that have differently colored heads and lifelike veins and things like that, but realistic toys that don't go for the ultra true-to-life look (like the VixSkin Tex, my current favorite) are nice. Most of my toys aren't realistic, though.

I like a mix. If it's a dildo, I prefer realistic all the way! But I don't like realistic vibes.

Same here. Shape, color everything If it's a toy I want a fun toy otherwise is does creep me out too.
Unless it's being used as a prosthetic, then I guess realistic would be Okay.

I typically go for unrealistic, but I got a Tantus real dildo and ended up really liking it. I think sometimes you just never know until you try.

My girlfriend and I feel the same way. The texture of some of my silicone toys even makes her feel a little ooged out and uncomfortable because it feels too real to her.

We like as close as non-realistic as possible.

I like both realistic and nonrealistic. A certain amount of realism has it's place (for instance I really like VixSkin)... but if it goes too far it gets kinda creepy. For instance, blue veins. No thank you.
