just for aesthetics?

I don't like cutesy toys. Its weird looking down and seeing a baby bunny burrowing into my bits. But you better believe if the magic wand was made to look like a garbage can I would use it . Function over looks always.

I buy for function. If it happens to be a beautiful toy, that's just a bonus, it doesn't really matter than much to me if it works really, really good!

Same here...LELO toys work amazingly well and are sleek and stylish.

I really wanted the Tentacle. It stands on its own, it's not vulgar looking, and it flipping glows in the dark! I did buy this toy intending to use it, but its far too large to use with much success. I don't necessarily mind that it's not my favorite toy functionally speaking, because it looks harmless enough that I can keep it on my bookcase for show. Some people point and ask but it mostly goes unnoticed. And it glows!

I might buy a novel toy if the functionality was questionable but if I downright knew it'd be unusable, I would not buy purely for aesthetics.

I buy for function, but I won't buy anything that's so unappealing it kills the mood, lol.

I only really buy toys to use them, but aesthetics definitely plays a role - but more that I won't buy something if I hate the way it looks, even if it looks like it would feel awesome.

Even if I have a better orgasm, if I am not in love with how a toy looks, I won't use it. It's sad but true.

I actually buy toys for their design and how enjoyable I think they will be to use, despite how they look!

I do buy for prettiness!! But I also buy for function...depends on the product!

I'd much rather have a pretty toy that has the features I want rather than an ugly toy with the same features. Though, if the price is through the roof... Then I guess I'm stuck with the ugly toy.

I'm considering buying several toys from here that would be mostly for looks, at least for now. I can't help it. They're so pretty.

My husband and I will be the only ones seeing them so I focus mostly on how well I think they will work for me. If it comes down to a few choices that seem like they will perform equally well then I might use the looks of each one as a final way to decide.

If I had the money to buy a few toys just for aesthetics, I would. I have a small collection of toys in my wishlist that are there just because I stared at them and went "THAT IS GORGEOUS NEVER MIND THAT I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO AFFORD IT OMMMGGGG."

Basically.

If I had money, that 250 dollar glass dildo would be MINE.

But I would use it too... I like hard and unforgiving.

I should probably make one wishlist specifically for 'I thought it was pretty'.

Function is priority, but between two toys that are mostly the same, I'll usually pick the one that looks nicer (or, if only one is waterproof, I'll go with that one).
The only toy I've seen so far that I'd want just for looks is the Icicles No. 12 - the one that looks like a rose. It seems like it might be too big for me, but it's just so beautiful! I could stand it up on my dressing table and nobody would realize what it was unless I told them. It's a little pricy just for that, though. I'll have to make it a Christmas present to myself or something.

I really like the look of the glass dildos too and worry about them not feeling as good as a jelly dildo... But what would you do w/a toy that you dont use?

I can guarantee you that will not be a problem - glass compared to jelly - no contest - the glass is better! Take the plunge there are now many moderately priced glass toys to try out. My wife's advice is that for vaginal use textured glass is better than smooth. How much texture is something you'll have to experiment with.

I consider both... I am very indecisive so it can take me a week just to decide what toy I want... lol...

When I first started buying sex toys about 2 months ago I bought a few cheap ones that I wanted to try... now, I buy quality toys that are made of safe materials and also that I like the way they look... I mean who wants ugly toys? lol

I'll go for function over looks any day, but when it comes down to two items that are about the same, I usually pick the one with the design I like more.

Yes! My partner is more likely to look at it, drool, then decide not to order it because it would be useless.

Function- but function AND looks... Well you can't beat that.. I don't think i'd buy something just for looks, it would have to actually work to. But I have seen somethings that say they really work and I havent bought it because it was hidious! lol
